While the Parkland Library cannot be your primary source for textbooks, some instructors do place copies "ON RESERVE" for in library use only.  We have scanners available for you to make digital or paper copies.

Please note:

  • Some textbooks at the Parkland Bookstore may be custom editions. You will not find an equivalent online.
  • It can take longer than you expect for a textbook ordered online to arrive.
  • Shop carefully.
  • The library does not endorse any of these alternative textbook sources.

Faculty: How to Add Material to Reserves

Start by using this form.

If the materials are already owned by the library we will move it from its current location and place it Reserves.

If you are providing the materials please bring them to the Main Desk of the library and leave them for the attention of Pamela King. If you have questions you can contact Pamela via email or at 217-351-2472.

At busy times such as the first few weeks of the semester, it may take up to a week for materials to be processed for Reserves.
