Set up Pulse App

The Brightspace Pulse app is a mobile app that can help you stay on track and manage your courseload. Accessing your courses on-the-go is easier with the app, but the best feature of the app is the schedule view and weekly visualization. This feature provides a quick, at-a-glance view of what is due today, this week, and later in the semester across all your courses. This can help you organize your workload and manage your time more effectively.


Install the Pulse App

The Brightspace Pulse app is available for both Apple and Android devices.

1. Download the app from the App Store or the Play Store.

2. Type in Parkland College when you are asked Who provides your Learning?

3. Sign in with your Parkland username and password.

4. When asked Would you like Pulse to send you notifications? select Allow.


Navigate the Pulse App

At the bottom of the landing page, there are three options: Upcoming, Courses, and Notifications.

1. Select Upcoming. This creates a calendar with three options: (1) Work To Do, (2) Events or (3) All. The default is Work To Do. Use the forward and back arrows to select a date, and it will show you a list of your assignments due on that day for all your classes.

2. Select the Events option. This creates a calendar of events as opposed to assignments.

3. Select the All option, and it will compile your assignments and events into a list that spans a three-month time period.
