Books on Your Topic  

  • Click this link Parkland Catalog to find books at Parkland College.   
  • Do a search for your topic (use Tips below).
  • Use call number to find book.
  • Bring your Parkland ID to check it out.

  • Click the Parkland Catalog link.
  • Change the drop-down box from Library Catalog to All I-Share Libraries.
  • Repeat steps above.
  • You will need to log in with your Parkland username & password to request a book.
  • Books are delivered to Parkland free of charge! No need to go anywhere else.

 

Tips:

  •   If you know about the item, search by title or author.
  •   If you are searching for a book on a particular topic, search by using the Keyword option in the drop down box 
  •   Use as few words as possible while describing your topic.
  •   Keep your topic “high level”
  •   Try multiple synonyms for your topic

Medline Plus

Health information from the National Library of Medicine. Easy access to Medline and Health topics, medical dictionaries, directories, etc.

PubMed Central

A free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature.
