A checklist of essential basic computer skills

If you click on a quick video, remember to "skip" the advertisements when the pop-up is accessible. Did you know that videos are funded by paid ads? They are but you do not have to watch the whole advertisement. "Skip" it when you can.
- Turning a computer on. Click here to read a short article.
Note: when using a Parkland computer, you should not have to turn it on, and you should not turn it off. Our lab computers are never shut down; they just go into sleep mode.
- Logging onto a computer. Go to "Parkland Connect" tab above.
